September 2013 in Nairobi: Simulation of energy systems: One day beginners course for simulation of energy systems with Polysun, the world leading commercial simulation software by Vela Solaris AG. The course is co-organized by the "Thermie" network partner Petroleum Focus Ltd and University of Nairobi.

21st of March 2014 in Embu - Inauguration of the Embu Biogas Office: Example of a local implementation of research results of a EU FP7 project. Small Biogas installations based on the Simgas solution produce free gas for cooking and cooling in housholds and small farms. Representatives of Trudep Microfinance and K-Rep bank will advise on available microfinancing options.

2nd and 3rd September 2014 in Ellwangen, Germany:  EurA Consult AG will host a conference on Future energy research and policy. One of the speakers will be Prof. Bempken from the EU commission.

27-28 November 2014 in Leuwen: Expert Panel Solar Water Treatment and Desalination: In cooperation with Dutch Water Limited, Simgas and the University of Nairobi the Aga Khan foundationi is organizing a workshop on low cost water treatment and desalination. Purpose is to prepare a EU Horizono 2020 funding application.

  • Microfinance of Biogas solutios for Africas Tea Regions

    Biogas ist the optimal renevable energy solutions for East Africa. The EU has co-funded a project to micofinance small biogas installations for East African farming and tea regions. Project partner are Simgas N.V., Petroleum Focus Ltd, Syngenta Foundation, TRUDEP Microfinance and the University of Nairobi.. Over 800 small biogas installatiions have been planned and installed by the Embu Biogas Office.
